Jaaniজানি
Bengali for to know.
Bangladesh's Right to Information Act gives every citizen the power to ask a public authority a question and get an answer. Jaani is a nonprofit built to make that power usable — and it's under construction.
What we're building
- A plain guide to filing a Right to Information request, in Bengali and English
- A tracker for deadlines and responses, so a request never quietly disappears
- A library that explains, in ordinary language, what the Act actually guarantees you
A note from the founder
Knowing you have a right to information isn't the same as being able to use it. I'm building Jaani to close that gap — for journalists, researchers, and any citizen who just wants a straight answer from their government.
